Drew SintonHalloween is here so let’s hit the town for some ghoulish fun.

There's something about Halloween night that heightens the senses and, perhaps, connects us more readily to forces unexplained.

So says ghost researcher Drew Sinton, from Melbourne's Haunted Bookshop.

"Halloween marks a time when the membrane between this world and the next is at its thinnest so it is a time to celebrate the dead,” he says.

Sinton, a Church of Satan member, says people celebrate Halloween in many weird and wonderful ways.

"For Satanists it can be a time to celebrate the dark lord," he says.

"Practising witches and those involved in witchcraft often celebrate by doing rituals. Spiritists tend to celebrate through seances and for others it is an excuse for partying."
